The room was equipped with all the necessary amenities, including an ensuite bathroom, TV, and tea/coffee facilities. the parking was convenient, and the location was just a short drive away from Rye Town Centre. It was the perfect accommodation for our needs, and we especially enjoyed the covered verandah with a bistro table and chairs for relaxing outside. the breakfast served at the Oak pub was excellent, and the staff were friendly and hospitable. We even joined in on the Christmas party, making our stay even more enjoyable. it was a great experience and I would gladly stay there again. Cons: It was all superb! 😊.

The accommodation is located in a peaceful area, surrounded by beautiful countryside. the rooms are clean and comfortable with comfy beds and fluffy towels. the staff is friendly and helpful, providing great local knowledge. the on-site pub offers a delicious dinner and has a lovely beer garden. the breakfast options are plentiful, including a tasty full English breakfast or poached eggs on avocado, chili, and feta mash. the hotel also offers lunch and afternoon tea options. There is ample parking space available.
The decor in some areas of the hotel might be a bit tired.

The location of the hotel was extremely convenient, right in the heart of the town. the secure and easy parking on-site was a major plus, as it made it hassle-free to come and go. Another advantage was the friendly and helpful host who provided great local knowledge on parking and nearby eateries.
The lack of net curtains in the room, which made us feel exposed when other guests walked past. Another small inconvenience was the main light in the room not being bright enough for our liking.

I thoroughly enjoyed my two-night stay at The Great Escape. The hotel offers a peaceful and picturesque location, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The Oak pub on-site served delicious food with a great variety of choices. The staff, Carman and Mark, were welcoming and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant experience. The breakfast, although not included in the price, was beautifully cooked and offered high-quality meals. The quirky design of the accommodation and café added to its charm. Situated near Camber Sands beach and with easy access to Rye Town for shopping, it is an ideal base for exploring the area. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.
I recommend this hotel.

The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options for vegetarians. The staff were friendly and gave great advice on local attractions. The free parking was definitely a plus, and the beautiful garden added to the overall ambiance.
The wifi was unreliable and didn't work properly, which was frustrating. Additionally, the mattresses in the twin rooms were old and uncomfortable, leading to a sore back in the morning.

great escape villa is the perfect weekend getaway. exceeded expectations from my previous stay in rye. fab location, lovely layout, met great people. only fault: rooms too hot due to 34-degree weather. will deffo go back, loved everything about it.
Showerhead needed a clean.

The room was surprisingly modern and spacious, with plenty of storage space and comfortable beds. I loved that there was a fridge in the room, complete with a jug of fresh milk. The outdoor seating area was a nice touch, perfect for enjoying a morning cup of tea. The manager was friendly and accommodating, ensuring our stay was enjoyable. The location was great, just on the outskirts of the village and not far from nearby attractions.
The kettle being placed on top of an electric fridge seemed a bit unsafe, especially if young children were staying in the room. the bedding was made of polycotton which made me overheat during the night.

The breakfasts were excellent and the hosts were very friendly. the location was ideal for exploring the surrounding area. One advantage I enjoyed was the motel-like room design, with parking conveniently located right outside.
Two local village pubs were closed, despite still being advertised as open online. the design of the chalets meant that noise from inconsiderate guests made it difficult to have a good night's sleep.
